Hello

Is there a way to remove duplicate photos and duplicate boxes and boxes with spelling errors? Thank you for your answers

Ninja84

Removing a duplicate photo is simple as you just edit the images and disable the one you don't want (click on the thumbs-down symbol and save).

I don't know what you mean by "duplicate boxes and boxes with spelling errors". It would be helpful if you could provide a link to the credit (or whatever) that has the problem. Just copy and paste the web address into your reply.

The first on the top left and the second on the sixth line

I can not find the thumb symbol down

I meant for you to select the Credit and copy and paste the web address of that into your reply. For example, https://www.bookogs.com/credit/535553-pat-boone

I have managed to fix the two credits referenced in "the first on the top left and the second on the sixth line", but I have no idea what you are referring to in "the ninth line".

To disable an image: click on "Add Images" on the left hand side of a Credit. You will then see a list of enabled images. Below each image are two symbols: a circular arrow which rotates the image and a thumbs-down symbol which disables the image. Once you have carried out the desired action click on "Save" which is located on the right hand side of the page.

If you create something that you find is a duplicate, then you can post a comment on this Forum thread: https://www.bookogs.com/forum/51253-list-duplicate-credits-here

Remember to copy and paste the web address of the actual credit into your comment.

I think I discovered what the ninth line was all about. I found a duplicate of https://www.bookogs.com/book/672326-jukebox-magazine-ndeg-126

I have stripped the details and disabled the image of the duplicate which is now:
https://www.bookogs.com/book/672283-duplicate

I managed to remove the photo I wanted. Thank you for your advice. And to remove duplicate boxes can we do something?

What do you mean by "duplicate boxes"? "Boxes" is not a term used on Bookogs. Maybe it is a translation problem.

Are you referring to the list of "Duplicate" Credits shown in your "My Contributions"?

Unfortunately, these can't be removed as you created them. They will in time be reused by other contributors and renamed to something else. These will still show in your "My Contributions" list.

To delete lines 8, 9 and 10

Ok thanks for your patience and your advice

You're welcome.

You can also resue the duplicate credits in your credits list. Just change them to the author or publisher you are making a new credit for. As it is at the moment that's all we can do with them but Its a good system really. We all make duplicate credits now and again.

Thank you! I've had the same issue as Ninja84 and have several 'double' credits which were created when I entered the same new name in 'author' and 'copyrightholder' credit. The system created 2 new credits of the same name.
Now I leave out the second credit until the book has been submitted and then edit the new submission and add the second credit.
