Hey everyone and thumbs up for reaching the 100k soon! I just came along a question i couldnt answer by myself so please give me your opionion.

I recently contributedhttps://www.bookogs.com/book/591877-der-st-galler-klosterplan
It is a Facsimile and a booklet in a Folder. The booklet is a commentary on the https://www.bookogs.com/credit/591887-plan-of-saint-gall, a plan for a medieval cloister. So this is why i added it as About/Subject. But the Facsimile is, of course, the plan itself and as far as i understand the bookogs definition of work, the original plan is a "Work".
Should i also add the Plan of Saint Gall as a work? Having two credits for the same thing feels a bit weird. I remember there has been a similar discussion a while ago, but i couldt find it.

Also, i think there should be an option to choose a second format, as a facsimile is not limited to only one physical format.

Thanks in advance!

Maybe you were thinking of this discussion?

I do agree that it's a bit weird, and that it would be best if About/Subject credit could be used also to link to a Work. There are plenty of publications about a Work (or multiple Works), so it feels a bit redundant to have to create a work and a subject for the same thing.

But as the system does not work that way at the moment, you have to create both a work and a subject, at least if you want to cover both ends.

Agreed. The format field could use some other improvements as well.
