Hello
How do we handle the variations of a name for a publisher? I'm a bit lost with https://www.bookogs.com/credit/19206-carlsen-verlag for example.
Entries existing in Bookogs
https://www.bookogs.com/credit/19206-carlsen-verlag
https://www.bookogs.com/credit/19211-carlsen-verlag-gmbh
https://www.bookogs.com/credit/19210-carlsen
Am i right if i think that Carlsen is the publisher and Carlsen Verlag the company (+ Carlsen Verlag GmbH variation of Carlsen Verlag) ?
thanks

By the looks of it all 3 names are used by the publisher, eg.

Carlsen - Imprint
Carlsen Verlag - Publisher
Carlsen Verlag GmbH - official company name

Ok, looks good. Thanks for the reply!

Personally, I've used St. Martins Press, New York as NV on St. Martins Press (as did some other user before). The profile states their New York location, so I've thought a separate entry wasn't secessary. But, as they are credited this way in some cases, the additional credit is not incorrect, so I diddn't wan't to merge it from my own decision.
Any opinions?

I would have thought in that case St Martins Press would be sufficient, no need for place name.

This is difficult, many publisher have different place. So for first, unless we have sufficient data it might be better to add the place.
