Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab (MFSL) is a California-based company that specializes in high quality reissues of key, often highly successful, popular albums. CD releases began in 1984.
Mobile Fidelity started in the early 70's when Brad Miller produced his own sound effect records for hi-fidelity collectors. Miller formed the Mystic Moods Orchestra, a sound effects/musical group. He later became associated with Gary Giorgi, an audiophile and together they would combine Giorgi's technology with Miller's recordings to create a new audio recording system. Howard A. Belkin, then Executive Vice President of ABC Records, licensed their first commercial recordings, John Klemmer's Touch, Chain Reaction by the Crusaders and Katy Lied by Steely Dan.
