Elio Amato

The Amato Jazz Trio has a forty-year history behind it.
Active since at least the late '70s, since 2005 the group is formed by the brothers Elio Amato (piano, trombone and flugelhorn), Alberto Amato (contrabass) and Loris Amato (drums): before Loris, there was a quarter brother, Sergio, who died prematurely in 2003.
The debut album dates back exactly thirty years ago, with the album Jazz Contest '88. This One Day is the fourth work that the trio publishes for the label Abeat, after Time Pieces for Piano (2008), Well (2010) and Gliss Man (2013).
