Omnibus was a German publishing house under the direction of the C. Bertelsmann Jugendbuch Verlag, launched in 1995, specialized on childrens and young adult literature in paperback editions.
In 2004 C. Bertelsmann Jugendbuch Verlag, was restructured and renamed to cbj-Verlag, consisting of cbj for hardback editions and young adult literature in paperback editions (under the imprint cbt) and Omnibus for childrens literature in paperback editions.
Referring to an uprising demand in youth literature, the company was restructured again in 2008. Omnibus was discontinued as a brand and renamed to cbj Kinderbuch Verlag for childrens literature and cbj to cbt Jugendbuch Verlag for young adult literature, both publishing hardback and paperback editions.
Shortly thereafter, cbt Jugendbuch Verlag was renamed to cbj Jugendbuch Verlag, using cbt as an imprint for paperback editions.
