Cheshko Lev Antonovich (1916–2000) - specialist in the field of Russian language teaching methodology, candidate of philological sciences, from 1959 to 1992 - teacher, then assistant professor of Russian language at the philological faculty of Moscow State University. Graduate Moscow Institute of Philosophy Litterature and History (1935–1940). In August 1940 he was drafted for active service in the Red Army. During the Great Patriotic War he participated in battles on the Leningrad front, near Gdov he was seriously wounded. He was demobilized in September 1945. He was awarded the Order of Glory of the III degree, the Order of the Patriotic War of the I degree, the medal "For the victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945." He worked at Moscow State University since 1959.
