Paul Klebnikov

Paul Klebnikov (born June 3, 1963 – died July 9, 2004) was an American journalist and historian of Russian history.

He started reporting on Russian economic reforms in 1989. He continued to report on the Russian economy, as well as on the owners and directors of both privately held and state-owned/directed businesses and joint-enterprises until his murder in Moscow on July 9, 2004.

Named the first editor of the new publication "Forbes Russia" in 2004; previously a senior editor at Forbes.
